About Us
Founded in 1977 with the intention to welcome and assist newcomers and their families to Denmark, we foster goodwill and friendship among members of all countries, organise social gatherings and give financial and material support to charity projects, especially those of an international nature.
We invite you to be a member of the IWC if:
- You are an international woman currently living in Denmark, interested in meeting like-minded women. We also welcome Danish women who have lived abroad and are looking for an international network back home.
- You wish to participate in activities like the Monthly Lunch, Coffee Mornings, Tours, Choral Singing, Line Dance, Bridge, the Reading Group, Quilting & Patchwork, Language Conversation etc.
- You are interested in helping others integrate and understand Danish culture. You would like to support various philanthropic organizations.
We offer international women a space to create a network, explore, and thrive while living in Denmark. Women from all corners of the world belong to the Club, so we communicate in English.
Activities & Events
We meet every month for a gathering with a guest speaker and lunch, we host relaxed and informal coffee mornings, and we regularly organize tours and activities. At the same time, we actively raise funds to support our philanthropic projects.

EXCLUSIVE EMBASSY ACCESS
One of the unique aspects of the IWC, which sets us apart from other international clubs in Copenhagen, is that we have a good connection to the embassies. Every month the President invites an ambassador (usually a female ambassador) or the spouse of an ambassador to share a short talk and join us for the lunch. The next month we usually get invited to visit that embassy.

SOS Children’s Villages
IWC sponsors four children from different countries, helping provide stability, education, and care.
Rays of Hope
Founded by Danish humanitarian Margrethe Juncker, this organisation has worked for more than 35 years to assist women and children with serious illnesses in remote regions, primarily in Uganda.
Goldschmidt Music Academy
Created by Henrik Goldschmidt, the academy brings together children from many countries, cultures, and religions, offering them a place to learn and connect through music.
